Samura Pest Detection
Prague, Czech Republic
At a manufacturing plant in Prague, we installed three flying insect traps capable of detecting captured insects and automatically sending an alert when the threshold for trapped pests is exceeded.
The TM LIGHT system enables connected management of insect traps and real-time remote monitoring. Insect counting is performed using artificial intelligence. This solution also tracks the status of the traps and provides a detailed statistical analysis of the catches.
In 2025, Advansee partnered with Samura CZ, a leading player in the pest control industry in the Czech Republic, to integrate our Trap Manager Light connected traps into their operations.
Background and Issues
Our mission: to provide a reliable monitoring solution that is easy to deploy and capable of automating the collection of data on insect presence in the food industry.
We have delivered a series of Trap Manager Light units, which Samura CZ now uses to track changes in insect populations across various industrial settings.
Our support
We supported Samura CZ at every stage of the project:
- Definition of requirements: understanding of monitored sites, field constraints, volumes, and critical areas.
- Device configuration: camera setup, software settings, and optimization for their environments.
- Implementation of remote monitoring via our platform, enabling real-time viewing of glue traps, tracking of catch trends, and alerts in the event of a sudden increase in populations.
- Team training: using the portal, interpreting graphs, managing alerts, and best practices for maintenance.
- Ongoing support: technical support, software updates, and adjustments to metering algorithms.
Thanks to this implementation, Samura CZ now benefits from significant time savings, improved responsiveness in the event of an infestation, and a much clearer understanding of pest dynamics at their client sites.
This project perfectly illustrates our collaborative approach: working together to develop simple, effective, and tailored solutions to digitize pest control in Europe.
The result
Real-time reporting
early detection of pest infestations
Time savings
No need to go anywhere to count the captured insects
Reduction in labor costs
